General Grant Information

Geographic Limitations

Funding requests are generally limited to the Maryland jurisdictions of Baltimore City, eastern Baltimore County and Harford County.

Eligibility

The Foundation will only make grants to organizations that are exempt from federal tax under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and that are not classified as private foundations under section 509 (a) of the Code.

The Foundation does not assume an obligation for permanent support for any organization or activity. It will consider multi-year grants for requests that exceed $100,000. The Foundation will not consider inquiries or proposals from any organization more than once every twelve months. Those organizations receiving multi-year funding may not re-apply until the grant is completed.

Reporting Requirements

All grant recipients must sign and return a Grant Agreement, provided by the Foundation. An interim or post grant report will be submitted one year from receipt of the funding. This report is customized to your organization's grant. The report will require, but not be limited to, an accounting of how the funds were spent, a comparison of the actual expenses to revenue, and the results of the program/projects funded.

Conflict of Interest

Trustees of the Dresher Foundation, Inc. are involved in many community activities as volunteers, donors, and members of boards and advisory committees. The Foundation requires disclosure by trustees of their involvement in organizations that are applicants to the Foundation, and abstention from voting on the request from any organization in which they are involved.
